Photography rooted in feeling rather than perfection

I’m Manca, a Perth photographer specialising in maternity, motherhood and fine art portraiture.

My work is drawn to softness, emotion, movement and honest connection. I’m less interested in perfectly posed photographs and more interested in creating images that feel personal, timeless and emotionally true.

I photograph women, mothers and families in a calm and guided way, allowing space for natural interaction, imperfection and genuine moments to unfold.

A calm and guided experience

Many women who enquire tell me they feel nervous about being photographed.

Some feel awkward in front of the camera.

Some worry they won’t know how to pose.

Some are worried their children won’t cooperate.

You do not need to arrive perfectly confident or prepared.

My sessions are intentionally relaxed and gently guided throughout. The goal is not perfection, but creating photographs that feel natural, emotional and deeply personal to you.

Movement, emotion and imperfect moments are always welcome here.

A little a bout me

Outside photography, I’m also a mother of two, which deeply shaped the way I see memory and the importance of preserving seasons of life before they quietly disappear.

Originally from Slovenia and now based in Perth, I find myself drawn to photographs that feel honest, timeless and emotionally lasting.

The images I love most are often the quieter ones — the moments in between, the connections that happen naturally, and the details that may seem ordinary today but become meaningful years from now
